Let's say that my original paper is 8 inches by 10 inches. I type in 50% to the copier to reduce the paper. Using the math reflection rubric I handed out this year, answer the following questions on your blog (1 bonus point for answering in paragraph form instead of question/answer form):

1) Compare the original paper's side lengths to the new paper's side lengths.
2) Compare the angles of the original to the new paper.
3) Compare the area of the new paper to the area of the original.

1.The new paper side lengths are 4 inches by 5 inches. The new side lengths compare to the original because the new sides lengths are 2x smaller than the original.

2.The angles of the original are the same as the new paper's angles.

3.The new paper's are is 20 inches. It compares to the original because the original is 4x bigger than the new paper.
